Flexibility and speed to market do come with a cost - from my experience Kiwibank has the least reliable internet banking service of the banks I bank with (KB, TSB, BNZ, ANZ, WBC AU & NZ).

At least once a month I'm told they're too busy to allow me to log on. I can't remember ever having this problem with another bank.

On the other hand, they're site is by far the best of the NZ banks - most features and easiest to use.

My daughter logged in to her Kiwibank account on my iPhone, and I was particularly impressed. It is a nice clear interface, with just the right amount of functionality. Well done Kiwibank for showing what is really possible.
However, in answer Rowans question, I'm not a Kiwibank customer, and having this available on my iPhone won't make me switch.

I love the iPhone version of the site. I really needed to transfer some money the other day while I was away from my computer and it made it so easy.

I like how they kept things low key as well and have used more word of mouth marketing. It seems more like a *real* product than something that has been dreamed up by the marketing department. It works because the people who built it put in features that people actually use.

I hate the Kiwibank mantra of "Kiwi owned, other banks are scum" but I love the low fees, great interest rates and easy to use technology.

+1 to Kiwibank.
